Robert Lee Townsend (b. Aug. 2, 1911, Clarksville, Ark.-d. Dec. 19, 1987), vice admiral in the U.S. Navy and aerospace company executive, received his commission as ensign in the Navy in 1934. Booth, Charles T. (Charles Thomas), 1910-1989

Charles Thomas Booth was born January 12, 1910, in Penacook, N.H. He received his commission as ensign in the U.S. Navy in 1931. He advanced through the ranks to rear admiral in 1959, and served as commander of Carrier Division Seven from 1945 to 1946. Booth died on February 21, 1989, in Greenville, S.C.
